My name is Mia Holley. I'm just the average hip-hop loving, comic book reading, punk rocking, loudmouthed, photographer, movie appreciating, awkward, girly-girl that you can find anywhere. Oh wait, you can't. I guess that's why I'm here. And so; may the force be with you, oh great artists, intellectuals, vigilantes, and jedi's alike. Stay weird, my friends.

This past Thursday, my dog of 10 years, went missing.
Named after the bassist of Motorhead, Lemmy Kilmiester was outside in our backyard, right before my dad came to let him in, he saw that Lemmy was just enjoying himself outside near the end of the fence, and because it was nice out he just let him be. But then it started to rain, and thats when we noticed that Lemmy had escaped through a gap in the back of the fence behind our shed that we never knew about.
Words cannot describe the way I felt when I got home to find out my dog was missing. I don’t even know how I got so emotional, but after I went searching for him for an hour or so, and when the realization hit me that Lemmy was actually gone…I just broke down. That was the night of the art show, I had to smile and pretend I wasn’t dying inside. It was the hardest thing. Yeah I know, it’s just a dog, but he’s family. He’s been in my life for 10 years.
That night was the first night I have spent at home without knowing where my dog was.
The next day in school was horrible. The hours after was horrible. But then my mom gave me a call…he was found. By a fellow dog owner named Craig, a great man who wouldn’t even accept the reward for keeping Lemmy in his home that night.
I don’t know why I’m telling you this story, but to have my dog back means so much to me. To see him again brought tears to my eyes, and all these emotions and memories just flooded back to me. Through every heartbreaking moment of my life, that dog was there. I love this dog more than I love most humans, and any dog or pet owner would know the feeling.
